The Problem
In the spring of 2005, my daughter decided to leave south Florida and move to the Atlanta area. She was going through some personal turmoil and needed a change in her life. I wanted to try to find a project in the Atlanta area so I could be close to her and spend more time with her but was on a project in Portland, Oregon with an anticipated completion date of late May. I contacted several recruiters and emphasized that I needed a project in Georgia, specifically the Atlanta area. Of course, I had contacts about projects everywhere in the US except the southeast.
The Solution
I had worked with Recruit 121 before but had not been placed by them. The recruiter I had worked with put me in touch with Bridgette. She called me and listened when I explained my situation. She called back a few days later (no e-mail) and said she had a possible project in Atlanta. She and Matthew set up a call with the company, I had the interview, and was offered the job.
The Result
Not only did I have a great project in the Atlanta area, but this particular client allowed both per diem and a hospitality gift in lieu of hotel. During the workweek while I was in Atlanta, I was able to stay with my daughter and help her through her personal situation while I was on project for almost eight months. During this time, she was able to forget about the past, start a new career, and move on with her life. The project itself was a full implementation from start-to-finish.
Our Candidate Says
I’ll never forget what Recruit 121 did for my professional and personal life. Bridgette and I have become long-distance friends. We stay in touch about my job situation and possible prospects. In addition, after I started the project, Recruit 121 called me about once a month to see how things were going with both the project and my personal situation. Thanks, again Recruit 121 for that personal touch.
