The Problem

I was employed and working abroad and about to be made redundant from a permanent role. Being external to the UK made job hunting a challenge as I did not have the flexibility to travel to interviews in comparison to local candidates. I was looking for another permanent role in London with would enable me to build on my previous experiences. I contacted several agencies to help me with this search.

The Solution

The recruiter kept up to date with my situation on a regular basis and was able to put me forward for a permanent role which suited both my experience and job requirements. Having been with my previous employer for several years, I had not interviewed during this time. The recruiter was able to give guidance and coaching in the requirements of the employer, detailed explanation of the role and general interview techniques. Due to my situation, the recruiter was also able to arrange my initial interview to be held over the phone to prevent unnecessary travel. After a series of interviews, I was offered and accepted the role. During each interview stage, the recruiter kept in constant communication, explaining the next stage and giving advice and recommendations.

The Result

I have now started work in a role that suits my background and abilities and will enable me to develop both within the position but also within the organization. The recruiter kept in touch to ensure that I was happy with the position.
